This blog task is assigned by Dr. Dilip Barad Sir, and it's all about showcasing our literary and critical abilities as we reflect on the events we experienced at the Youth Festival 2023.
In this blog, I'm sharing my insights into the Manbhavan Yuva Mohotsav 2023. I would like to discuss my experience of Manbhavan Yuva Mahotsav and also delve into my role as a volunteer in this youth festival, along with the valuable experiences I gained from the role.
The 31st Youth Festival, called "Manbhavan Yuvak Mahotsav," took place at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University from November 3rd to 5th, 2023. This time, the "Physical_Education_Department" of MKBU hosted it.
The festival's main theme was "Nari_Shakti_Vandana," and inspired by a recent bill in Parliament. The main focus of the festival was to celebrate the strength and power of women, and this idea was inspired by a new bill passed in Parliament. The festival aimed to honor and recognize the achievements and capabilities of women in various fields, emphasizing their significant role in society.
They honored women from different fields, and it was great to see over 1,000 students taking part, with around "700" of them being girls, truly capturing the spirit of Nari Shakti Vandana.
There were 32 competitions at the festival, split into five sections: Literature, Music, Fine Arts, Dance, and Theatre. Each section has its own special name, adding a creative touch to the festival.
The Youth Festival started with Kalayatra on November 2nd. On November 3, The event kicked off with opening program, in this program several guests were present, including politicians, Ami Upadhyay (Vice Chancellor of Ambedkar University), professors, the Yuvraj of Bhavnagar, and folk singer Sagardan Gadhvi. Following a captivating performance by the Kalarpan Dance Academy group, various competitions commenced.
Kalayatra :
Ved se Veg : Chandrayan:
The Kala Yatra highlighted India's success with Chandrayaan, creatively using a wheel to symbolize Abdul Kalam's journey and emphasizing the importance of Vedas with "Ved Se Veg." The event acknowledged women's participation, explored ancient Vedas and history, and showcased India's space expedition, aligning with the university's "Narishakti Vandana" theme for the Nari Shakti award celebration.
Gurjari Bahuratna Vasundhara:
The theme "Nari Sangharsh Samunnati" focuses on the contributions of rural women in women's development, particularly highlighting the roles of
- Jaswantiben Popat,
- Kasturba Gandhi,
- Sarita Gaikwad, and
- Ilaben Bhatt.
Empowering Divinity: Tribute to Nine Goddess Avatars
This theme beautifully revolves around the worship of nine goddess avatars, embodied in the phrase
"Navdurga rupe samprat narishakti ne vandan."
Disadvantages of Mobile:
Despite the many advantages of mobile phones, concerns have arisen about their misuse. Instances of accidents and suicides linked to mobile addiction highlight the need for responsible usage. It's crucial to promote awareness and encourage a balanced approach to ensure the well-being of users.
Women's Progress: From Tradition to Triumph :
The English Department chose the theme of women's journey from traditional to modern roles. It covered diverse aspects, from individual dreams to societal challenges like child marriage and the struggles of working women. The theme portrayed the evolution of women, breaking societal norms to excel in various fields. Kalayatra, a great learning experience, involved hard work from theme selection to execution, with activities like face painting, slogan creation, and choreography. Alpa Mam's efforts were crucial for the event's success.

My Experience as Volenteer :
I had the wonderful opportunity to contribute as a volunteer at the Manbhavan Yuva Mohotsav, an experience for which I am truly grateful. The process of selecting volunteers commenced with the careful selection of students from each department. Following university guidelines, each department and college was kindly directed to choose only a limited number of students as volunteers. In alignment with this, I, along with 10 other students, was graciously selected to be a volunteer from the Department of English at MKBU.
Before we started volunteering, we had meetings to get ready. In these meetings, we were told which event we'd be working on, how to assist participants, and what responsibilities to take on. They also explained all the rules and guidelines for the Youth Festival during these sessions.
Each department has their unique name according events, e.g.
English Department - "рдордирднाрд╡рди рд╢рдм्рджрдо":
Our volunteering started on November 3rd in the English department. We helped with creative events like quizzes and essays from 8:00 AM to till Evening . Each section has At first, we were a bit unsure if we could do the job well, but once we got to our duty spot, we found the confidence to handle it smoothly.
On November 3rd, The Department of English hosted literary creative programs, featuring quiz and poetry recitation competitions. As volunteers, we not only gained valuable insights while fulfilling our assigned responsibilities but also learned the importance of being attentive as participants. These experiences taught us about the diverse topics suitable for competitions and what aspects should be included to make the competitions engaging and meaningful.
The initial round of the quiz competition was scheduled for November 3rd, followed by the second and final round on November 4th, featuring the top five selected teams. This arrangement was designed to ensure a comprehensive and engaging competition experience for all participants.
Then the event which we were eagerly waiting for which was the competition of "Swarachit Kavya Pathan" started.
In this event, the students from different colleges were to put their creativity and the creative ideas running in their minds into words on paper. These times were golden times for any literature lover.
The topics for the compitition are:

First of all, all the contestants wrote down the ideas in their minds and then recited them in front of everyone and in this competition when the contestants were presenting their ideas in ther form of poetry, we get the feeling that if you go to search, you can find aa diamond even from pebbles . We enjoy alot.
On the 4th of November, the Department of English hosted the essay competition & the final round of the quiz competition.
In the afternoon, the essay competition officially began. The organizers carefully selected the essay topics, placing a deliberate focus on current events and significant subjects.
The topics of essay competition are :
- ркнાрк░ркдркиી ркЕрк╡ркХાрк╢ી рк╣рк░ркгрклાрк│,

This provided participants with a valuable opportunity to express and share their thoughts on these important topics. The competition served as a platform for individuals to contribute their perspectives and insights, fostering a meaningful exchange of ideas among the participants.
The quiz competition had initially featured five selected teams, engaging in a spirited contest on the previous day, November 3rd. This particular event served as a valuable lesson, offering insights into the students' responsibility and quick thinking exhibited throughout the competition. Observing the dynamics of the teams and their strategic approaches provided a comprehensive understanding of the role of effective teamwork and individual responsiveness in a competitive setting.
And this how we completed our duty as Volenteer.
In appreciation for the services we provided as volunteers, the university graciously arranged three meals for us. Additionally, the university thoughtfully provided T-shirts as uniforms for the volunteers.
What we learned as volunteers :
As volunteers, we gained valuable insights, such as:
- Learning how to collaborate effectively with judges,
- Understanding how to interact with competitors,
- Attending to everyone's needs with care,
- Developing interpersonal skills in dealing with people,
- Enhancing problem-solving abilities swiftly and efficiently,
- Recognizing the significance of seeking guidance for tasks related to the university,
- Embracing the importance of teamwork,
- Improving our ability to fulfill responsibilities effectively,
- Developing quick and effective problem-solving skills in the face of challenges.
Overall, my experience as a volunteer taught me the art of maintaining balance and harmony in any given situation.
Our volunteers were remembered and applauded during the prize distribution ceremony. On November 8, a Thanksgiving lunch was organized to express gratitude to the volunteers.
Following the lunch, a small thanksgiving program was conducted to honor and appreciate the volunteers. During this program, the heads of all the departments involved in the youth festival addressed the volunteers, expressing their thanks and introducing them to all department heads. It was a heartfelt gesture of recognition for the dedicated efforts of the volunteers.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Dilip Barad Sir and Vaidehi Ma'am for providing me with this valuable opportunity.
Thank you for Visiting ЁЯШКЁЯЩПЁЯП╗
